Amicare is an AI-powered coordination platform that connects patients being discharged/referred from institution care to home support through a unified workflow. When a patient is ready for discharge or requires community support, referrals and care requests are routed to their existing care providers using smart matching and real-time communication tools.

2. Does Amicare provide caregivers directly?

No. Amicare is not a caregiver marketplace or agency. All caregivers are part of home-care agency’s existing workforce. Amicare simply helps those teams coordinate more efficiently.

3. How do care referrals get assigned?

Referrals are routed through partner clinics and home-care agencies. Amicare uses availability, geography, program requirements, and care plan details to help teams assign requests to the most appropriate care provider within their organization.

4. How does Amicare support families?

Families receive timely, coordinated updates from their care teams through Amicare app. This includes referral status, visit confirmations, and messages from their care provider — all managed by the agency or health system responsible for their care.

5. What services are provided through Amicare?

Services depend entirely on the referral partners or home-care organization. Amicare does not determine care type; it supports the coordination and communication around the care plan your provider already manages.

6. How is patient information kept secure?

Amicare follows strict privacy and security standards and supports compliance with PHIPA, PIPEDA, and organizational policies. Amicare is on track to be SOC 2 Type II certified by April 2026. All data is encrypted and only shared with the care teams responsible for a patient’s care.

7. What if schedules change or a visit needs to be updated?

Care teams and families can update schedules, send changes, and communicate with each other directly through Amicare. The app ensures everyone is informed in real time, reducing confusion or missed communication.
