No. Amicare is not a caregiver marketplace or agency. All caregivers are part of the hospital’s or home-care agency’s existing workforce. Amicare simply helps those teams coordinate more efficiently.

Referrals are routed through partner hospitals and home-care agencies. Amicare uses availability, geography, program requirements, and care plan details to help teams assign requests to the most appropriate care provider within their organization.

Families receive timely, coordinated updates from their care teams through Amicare app. This includes referral status, visit confirmations, and messages from their care provider — all managed by the agency or health system responsible for their care.

Services depend entirely on the partner hospital or home-care organization. Amicare does not determine care type; it supports the coordination and communication around the care plan your provider already manages.

Amicare follows strict privacy and security standards and supports compliance with PHIPA, PIPEDA, and organizational policies. All data is encrypted and only shared with the care teams responsible for a patient’s care.
